From 9 to 11 March, Fedasil travelled to Geneva for a CSI thematic meeting about voluntary return. 

In 2014 Fedasil and its partners organised reception for 16,566 asylum seekers, which is an increase of 7% compared to 2013.

In 2015 Belgium will resettle twice as many refugees than initially planned. This was announced by the new State Secretary for Asylum and Migration, Theo Francken.

Fedasil is starting a network of buffer accommodations: these are beds that are not in use, but they can be made operational at a moment's notice in case of an emergency.

The European Migration Network has just published a synthesis on the organisation of reception facilities for asylum seekers in the European Union. Belgium stands out.

In 2013, 15,455 asylum seekers received a reception place in the network of Fedasil and its partners.
